I was born and raised in Colorado. I spent my early years on a ranch in a mountain town and later moved around quite a bit. I was always living on a farm or near one. I am very thankful for the way I was brought up. I was taught success is earned with hard work and values like respect, integrity, and honesty.
A little about my career background: I got my Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and Wellness from Colorado State University-Pueblo and then went on to get my Master's in Kinesiology with emphasis in Exercise Physiology from the University of Texas-San Antonio. I have experience as a health coach, corporate wellness coach, and personal trainer. I am currently a personal trainer at Gunz Up Fitness in Lubbock, Texas. I also do online programs for those who are not local.
I have always had a passion for health and fitness. When I was little I played a lot of sports. I continued them up until high school. That is when I developed a love for lifting. I was never very athletic. I was a little clumsy and I wasn't much for speed. But in the gym, it was just me and iron. The only person I needed to beat was myself. My boyfriend at the time, who is now my husband, got into bodybuilding. We lifted a little together and starting lifting as part of a team. He competed and did great in natural shows. As the years went by I starting getting more and more serious about lifting. When I moved to San Antonio for school, I bumped up my training a huge amount and paired it with good nutrition. I saw amazing results. Now I am training for my third and fourth NPC shows. I am absolutely loving the process. I am very excited for my next show. For now, I am competing in Figure and may move up to Physique in the future. We will see how it goes. I have big dreams and hope to make them a reality and I hope to inspire and help others along the way!
